What Is An American?

It’s the question that all of us ask ourselves at some point in life. What are we, where do we come from, what does it mean. An American cannot be defined by how wealthy he or she is or by the looks. Where people who come from all diffrent places and speak diffrent languages; an American does not have one particular skin color. Regardless of he or she’s way of being, appearance, cultures or even fortune. America opens the doors for people who knock for an opportunity of freedom. An American is a new person, who acts up on new ideas and principles. There the individuals at those who’s labors and prosperities will one day change the world.
My great great ancestors were spanish, born in Spain. Basically also Europeans. Im glad to be an American. We have a big , mysterious past. They all made a change in this world. They gave us Rights, Liberty, Freedom of speech and also the pursuit of happiness. They gave us peace, independance, values of life and prosperity. We have the freeom of speaking our minds freely, giving opinions on what we like and dislike most of all recognizes the God given right of each person's Pursuit Of Happiness.
I don’t know much about my ansestors because I’ve never talked to my parents about were my great great grandparents came from or what there cultures and life’s were like. It might be a small amount of information that i’ve been given by my parents about how life was for them and what they went through.
We went through Life ,struggles, wars and many more things. Americans are about who we are and our roots. What we are proud to be. If we all work together we can achieve something greater in life. We fought for what we have now Freedom. America. The Land Of The Free.
The Americans, the western pilgrims who carried wirh them a great mess of Sciences and Vigor. We are Europeans, most of us are descendantsof them some by blood. Here our industry follows with equal steps the progress of labor, basis of nature and self intrest. There the people who gave us our life.

Academic Autobiography

When I first started Elementary School which is by Rampart here in Los Angeles. I had a very complicated education in school throughout my years of learning. I’ve moved around alot so im never really stable in one place. I went from Commonwealth to Hoover and from Hoover to Mexico for a while. When I got back from Mexico I was already a 6th grader in Middle School but when I had first enrolled they had placed me as an 8th grader I was 11, and I was in 8th.
My favorite subject in school has always been science. I think science for me has always been an intresting topic and subject to learn about and study. Just like any other subject in school your never done learning no matter how much nor how long you stay studding. There’s never a end to education. I like science because for my first career that I’ve ever wanted would be to work with medicine. That for me is my main goal in life. To be a doctor and help others in ways that not many people can. A teacher that influenced me through out my readings and writing skills, would be my 8th grade. English teacher Mrs. Cabrales. She made me realize the nature and beauty of learning. The wonders of reading of book. She made me realize so many things that I never had really taken serious or had even crossed my mind. When I was in that class we would always read books every week and after we were done we would write a summary and also write an essay about what he had read. The feelings we felt toward the topic, our perspective and our understandings and emotions of it. Ever since I started that class I’ve always loved to read and write. Im always reading books when im bored or just don’t have anything to do basically because that keeps my mind busy from everything that happens at my surroundings. Reading is basically a simple way to take your mind and emotions to a diffrent world that you would never imagine to be in but yet you never know whats going to happen next. It causes suspense, drama.sadness , romance etc. Well through out my entire life I never really did a big project that might be important and stuff. The only thing I really did through out my English classes would be alot of reading and writing thats basically one of the main things anyone does in that class. When I think about my academic future I see a bright future waiting for me around the corner. I see myself as a good student, I do like to go to school because its something to do through out the day and basically have something to focus on for my own future. Another thing my goals are big, I like to dream big and never doubt that my dreams can come true at some point of my life, because at some point if we all really fight for whats right and what we want we can succeed and those dreams we once had, become reality. My history with English is not bad. I always look forward to taking my English classes. I actually love to learn about the histories of how everything started and things that had happen. I also love to write essays and just spend most of my day reading books and just learing new things as time passes. My English grades in Middle School were really good actually. I always turned in my work and assignment in class. I would always be excited to have an essay about anything. English has always been a passion to me. I’ve always loved that about school. I really don’t remember my grade point because I moved alot and so I never really was stable in one place, but I always was excited to start a new unit in class. Taking notes, essays and reading have always been the most things that I focus on.
Im not hoping for this class to be easy I am hoping for alot of work and assignments and I am ready for all of that. Im going to give it my all and my best to this class not only because its one of my required classes but also because this class is a passion for me and i love English. What I expect from you as my English teacher is to guide me through my mistakes and though my confusions and misunderstandings as I complete this course.
